Internet shops now insured for 210 000 EUR for any accident or loss - even more security and reassurance for our clients
NetDirect has signed an insurance agreement that will protect its clients and the company itself in case of any insured loss, be it health, assets or financial accident. Even though there is no such incident in the history of our company, we have decided to undertake this proactive step to provide more comfort and assurance to our clients.
Insurance contract signed with the biggest insurance company on the Czech market
"Our clients' e-shops, B2C as well as B2B, generate such significant turnover, that we have decided to undertake certain steps and close an insurance agreement for even greater reassurance, no matter the related regular extra costs.
The main aspect for selecting the insurance company was not the insurance cost, but a strong name, tradition, financial security and also transparent agreement guarantee. Initially we have selected three insurance companies, but decided to sign for Česká pojišťovna, the biggest insurance company on the Czech market, says Ing. Dagmar Pavelková, Ph.D., the financial director of NetDirect s.r.o.
Because this type of insurance is not very common, we had to provide many details related to the work processes and organization, technical background and safety, detailed project documentation and substitutability of our service workers. We have succeeded to pass high requirements also due to the fact, that we follow the quality standards of ČSN EN ISO 9001:2001(Quality Management System), we keep documentation of all our products and provide 24/7 customer service.
How can an insured loss happen?
There are few causes that can lead to an insured accident. It could be a serious hardware failure or a fault caused by a human factor. This could lead to a temporary drop-out of internet shops, direct material or financial losses and also hardware damage, e.g. on client's servers. Algorithm errors in application can also cause direct financial damage. Any such fault has to be reported to our company representative as soon as possible by the effected client, and our responsibility is to promptly remove this error and avoid any further damages.
Consumer protection implied by the law
Consumer protection is an integral part of united EU legal regulations. Companies operating in EU member states have to comply with 14 guidelines designed to protect the rights of the consumer. These guidelines are mostly stating the legal liability of the producer regarding the products or services. This means that the product has to comply with the quality standards requirements. The producer is than responsible to any loss or damage caused to the customer. EU consumer protection regulations were successfully integrated into the legal systems of each EU member country joining the EU in May 2004.

NetDirect will claim any insured accidents agreed in the contract with Česká pojišťovna through the services of insurance broker company MARSH s.r.o.
