Online electronic payments
Internet shops built on ShopCentrik platform can accept online payments ( credit cards, PayPal, WorldPay, etc.) with no dificulties and automatically enters the payment details into the administration, so that the user can overwiev all transactions in one place.
Why on-line payments?
Using credit card or the electronic purse on the Internet is currently one of the modern and safe payment methods. Abroad, these types of payment completely dominate especially B2C segments of the market. In the Czech Republic, their importance is increasing continuously and we can assume (after abolishing the myth about danger of paying by credit cards) that within the next couple of years it will reach a significance comparable to that for example on the German, British and American market.
We provide our clients with full service in terms of on-line payment methods – designing an appropriate payment gateway (for example PaySec, Czech Savings Bank, Pay MUZO, WorldPay, PayPal, Click2Pay etc.), communication with the owner of the payment gateway and its start-up in the e-shop. There is also an implied thing – the use of relationships to achieve the lowest possible charges for realized transactions.
A matter of security
Credit card payment is completely reliable and safe today. A great deal of payment gateways use the security system 3D-secure which ensures the safety of data. The customer imparts their data directly to the bank, not to the merchant (i.e. to you). Transfer of credit card information proceeds using HTTPS protocol which encrypts the clients data, so that nobody except the bank can read the it. A customer, that has a credit card issued under the 3D-secure system, can also extend the authentication process with other information that only the customer knows, so that nobody else can use the credit card even if they copied the usual credit card information (number, expiration date, control number). The customer paying by this type of card is always asked to enter the additional data he has set (for example the name of parrot, the last four digits of passport etc.). The transaction is performed only after answering these questions.
As for NetDirect references, there are shops selling in the American market and a very positive thing is that credit card abuses happen very rarely (less than a tenth percent of all orders). Thanks to a great communication with banks (for example Česká spořitelna a.s. - Czech Savings Bank) it is possible to verify every suspected transaction before the goods is sent to the customer. In addition, banks providing payment gateways now improve mechanisms which effectively help to eliminate these cases, and we can assume that they will continue to improve.
ShopCentrik system has a number of modules designed for accepting credit/debit cards Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Maestro etc. This allows to accept credit card payments from on-line store customers. Currently, both domestic and foreign payment gateways and processors are supported. Payment processors and electronic purses PaySec, PayPal, Google Checkout etc.
Payment processors such as for example PaySec, PayPal, Google Checkout or Click2Pay also enable to accept on-line payments. However, in principle they are a bit different from the usual payment gateways where the client directly enters their credit card data. In this case, customer enters their data just once during registration into the trusted system (for example PayPal) and later there is no need to enter them in future purchases again.
PaySec is a means for fast, cheap and safe payment on the Internet. It is a universal alternative for all used payment options (payment cards, premium SMS payment method, electronic purses, cash on delivery). PaySec is a creation of ČSOB Czechoslovak Trade Bank and Postal Savings Bank.

If you run an on-line store, PayPal allows you to easily accept payments from customers, even if they don't have any PayPal account. During the order completion, the buyer is redirected to the PayPal page where they can chose a payment method. This page is partly adjustable according to the e-shop design, so the buyer does not even realize that it is a different page. If the buyer does not have a PayPal account, they must fill in their payment card data – PayPal thus works like Google Checkout – it means greater security for the customers data and, as for the online stores, they don't have to manage their information. If the customer has a PayPal account, everything is easier. They will fill in only their login and password and pay either from surplus on their PayPal account or again by their payment card.

As far as PayPal is concerned, it is the most popular method in North America. From the end of 2006, the Czech e-shop providers can use PayPal for paying and receiving payments. However, the PayPal payment environment is not located in the Czech language, which disqualifies him significantly. However, it is one of the most important choices for business abroad. Google Checkout is not ready for the Czech market yet.
In this case we are talking about transfer payment using the possibility of direct internet banking that on-line banking offers. Customer does not have to tediously fill in the payment form for transfer (e.g. account number, variable symbol, constant symbol, price of the order...) but is redirected directly to a pre-completed form and the only necessary thing is the payment authorization.
Interconnection with the administration
Every payment gateway or processor provides its own administration interface for payment management, refundments, reclamations etc. However, ShopCentrik is able to communicate with a majority of payment gateways in the online mode and enables the e-shop provider to process orders in dependence on defrayals in a single e-shop administration.
